This model consists consists of a single phase induction motor situated behind a terminal box. The motor is basically a four-pole, split-phase motor having a starting winding, a centrifugal switch, a squiriel-cage rotor, and a main winding. The motor is rated at:

MULTI-FUNCTION MOTORMULTI-FUNCTION MOTOR

Horse Power : 1/3 HP

Speed : 1725 RPM

Voltage : 115 volts

Current : 5.6 AMPS

Frequency : 60 HZ

Max. Ambient Temp : 40 C

The motor may be used as a split-phase motor, a capacitor-start motor, a permanent-capacitor motor, or as a two-value capacitor motor.

The terminal box consists of six terminals at the top of the box panel. Four of these are number from 1 through 4 and pertain to: the starter winding, the run capacitor, the star capacitor, and the start resistor, respectively the first two terminated to one of the two remaining terminal and the second two (start capacitor and start resistor) are terminated to the remaining terminal. In addition, there are two terminals for the “MAIN WDG”, (main winding) which are label “1″ and “2″. The panel also contains a starter switch controlling four terminals: two are labeled T1 and T2. Lastly, there is a cut-out switch mounted on top of the terminal box which is used to reset the motor in case of overload.
