The terminal box consists of three stator terminals and 6 circuit breaker terminals and the circuit breaker switch. The stator terminals are labeled “STATOR” and the terminals are labeled clock-wise as A, B, and C. The stator is wye-connected. The circuit breaker has three lower terminals designed L1, L2, and L3 and three upper terminals designated T1, T2, and T3
USING THE THREE PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR
1. Make sure the circuit breaker is in the OFF position.
2. Make the connections to the “L” terminals from the fixed 3Æ 208v supply first making sure that the main AC breaker on the A.C. supply panel is in the OFF position. The connections to the terminals are shown in figure 1.
3. Complete the connections shown in figure 1 then “turn on” the main AC breaker to energize the supply. Next “turn on” the breaker located on the motors terminal box.
